Conference Venue:
- The ITW2024 will take place in meeting room M2 in the M building, VIC, Vienna.
** Please arrive at Check Point 1 of the VIC on Monday, 4 November 2024, but no earlier than 08:00 am. You will go through registration and admittance procedures and you will receive a VIC grounds pass for the duration of the workshop. It is important to remember to bring your national passport with you, for identification verification and admittance to the VIC. When you enter the Rotunda, follow the sign towards M-Building (lefthand side, direction IAEA)

- The ITW2024 will start on Monday 4 November 2024 at 09:00 and end on Friday 8 November 2024 at 17:00 (local times)
Participants profile:
- The workshop is aimed towards all scientists, engineers, station operators (SO), staff from National Data Centres (NDC) and other persons involved in infrasound technology and related fields.
- Please be informed that the Provisional Technical Secretariat (PTS) will solicit presentations and posters from participants on the topics of the Workshop.
Application Procedures:
- All applicants are requested to visit our registration platform and apply online by 11 August 2024 at the latest.
- Applicants should specify the type of presentation (oral, poster) and the need for financial support.
- Applicants requesting financial support (on the registration platform) should submit their abstract together with their application by 11 August 2024. Acceptance of a poster or oral presentation is a requirement to qualify for financial support.
- State Signatories wishing to nominate experts are requested to inform the Provisional Technical Secretariat (See Point of Contact) through their respective Permanent Mission.
Self-funded applicants - Abstract Submission
- Applicants (not requesting financial support) are invited to submit abstracts relevant to the purposes of the Workshop by 15 September 2024 at the latest via the registration platform.
- No registration fee will be charged.
Financial Information
Applicable to PTS-funded participants only
In accordance with the Staff regulations and rules and Administrative Directives, the PTS will provide the following:
- A Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) that is sufficient to cover the related expenses during the workshop program will be paid on the first day of the workshops to the participants;
- The PTS travel agent will reserve, issue and forward the flight ticket to the participants for the most direct and economic route;
- Funded participants are not allowed to purchase their own tickets unless, under exceptional circumstances, be authorized to do so and only if this proves to be most cost efficient for the PTS;
- The PTS will book a hotel and cover the costs for the accommodation; and
- Health insurance will be provided that covers the duration of the workshop.
Requirement: Scanned passport copies.

Language
- The working language of the Workshop will be English
Presentations
- Tentatively, PowerPoint presentations are scheduled to be 20 minutes.
- Posters should be in either A0 or B1 portrait (vertical) format.
Visas
- Participants should apply for visas, if needed, at the corresponding consular office upon receipt of an Acceptance Letter from the Provisional Technical Secretariat, in order to ensure timely processing.
Health/Accident Insurance
- It is strongly recommended that prior to departure all participants not funded by the PTS should acquire health and accident insurance for the duration of the workshop.
