Description
The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) relies on a global network of experts in science, technology, policy, and operations. Building the next generation of specialists to carry this mission forward is central to the work of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
This panel offers insights into career pathways within the CTBTO and the wider field of nuclear explosion monitoring. Panellists will share their personal career journeys, highlighting the skills, experiences, and opportunities that shaped their professional development. They will also discuss the many entry points into this field, from scientific research and technical innovation to international collaboration and capacity-building.
The session provides practical perspectives on building a career in this highly interdisciplinary area. Following presentations, a moderated discussion will address common challenges and opportunities in pursuing careers linked to the CTBTO’s mandate.
The event will conclude with an open Q&A, giving participants the chance to engage directly with the panellists and seek advice on their own professional aspirations. Join us to explore how you can contribute to global non-proliferation and disarmament efforts.
