Description
The aim of this paper is to present the CTBT as part of the whole Non-proliferation regime. It focuses on the different pieces of the “Global non-proliferation regime” highlighting how the CTBT is an essential part of the whole picture. The paper aims at analyzing the interaction and overlap among the different pillars of the regime such as the NPT, Safeguards agreements, Free Zone Treaties, and the TPNW. The paper argues that even that the CTBT has not entered into force yet it has already set up norms and has influenced the whole complex of non-proliferation.
