Sponsorships for Journalists Covering SnT2025

The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) is offering sponsorships to a select group of journalists to cover the CTBT: Science and Technology Conference (SnT2025). The event will bring together over 1,000 scientists, technologists, academics, students, and representatives from the CTBTO’s policymaking bodies.

Application Requirements & Evaluation

Applicants must submit a concise proposal in English (300 words or less), outlining their coverage plan for the 8th edition of SnT. The proposal should be clear, compelling, and well-structured.

Evaluation criteria include, but are not limited to: 

ü  A well-defined coverage plan and proposed content.

ü  Confirmation from an editor or publisher to publish/broadcast at least one piece on SnT2025.

ü  Required social media promotion (as a supplementary, not sole, coverage method).

ü  Demonstrated ability to reach audiences in countries that have not signed/ratified the Treaty or are underrepresented at the conference.

ü  Strong interest in and understanding of scientific and technical topics.

ü  Preference for multi-platform distribution (print, online, radio, TV, blogs).
