Description

Nuclear explosion risk is real and needs initiative action. Due to the extremely dangerous situation, global communities need to be understood, educated, aware and ready to respond to the insecurity and CTBTO frameworks, including supporting nonproliferation and arms control programs. For this reason, we propose the nuclear disaster prevention online lecture series delivered by well-performing Youth under CTBTO assistance that will encourage and influence communities to awaken, commit and develop their capacity and ability to support the CTBTO mission. The online lecture materials proposed to consist of (but not limited to) the History of Nuclear Explosion Tragedy, the Nuclear Weapon Types and Effects of Testing, Introduction of Nonproliferation and Arms Control, the Importance of Treaty, and current issues. It suggests scheduling a few sessions. Youth will potentially provoke, deliver the materials and entry into force to inspire the global community through public information and education materials. This event is expected to be a long term and sustainable programme and activity to build a community awareness, preparedness and response continuously.
